Artifacts

Relics of a recent past, objects of obsolescence?  We are increasingly defining ourselves, relating and functioning in the world, through our technology. Does technology serve our needs or dictate our behavior? What are the dangers of embracing the
artificial in rejection of the organic? 

The path of new technology can be tracked through a trail of discarded devices, methods, symbols, languages and ideas.
Are we becoming accessories to our own invention,  mere operators? At what point will we too, as operators, become obsolete?
